Hi, I’m Harmony Major, a multi-certified, trauma-informed Reiki Master, Certified Psychological and Emotional Resilience Professional, and Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Practitioner.
I’m trained in several reiki styles, including Usui, Kundalini, and Quantum Light.
I mix many of them, plus meditation, when delivering your reiki. I serve clients globally. Learn more about “remote” or “distant” sessions.
What to Expect
Each reiki session typically starts with a short intake, where we discuss whatever’s brought you to me that day, whether pain, stress, ongoing anxiety, or anything else.
We often create an affirmation for you to revisit privately during your session, to help enhance your experience.
Then, I start any sound therapy audio you chose on the pre-session survey, while you get comfortable in your own quiet, safe space.
Next, I guide you in a breathing exercise scientifically proven to reduce stress and anxiety, reduce inflammation, improve self-regulation, and enhance quality of life for those who regularly practice.
Finally, I use an energetic tool to strengthen our connection, and start the treatment while you sit or lay back in stillness and silence (or sound therapy), relaxing in your own comfortable, private space.

Reiki Therapy: An Overview of “Distance” Reiki
As of 2021, existing client sessions have an in-person option. Others are held virtually, or “at a distance.”
Reiki therapy, while traditionally done in-person with hand-to-body contact, can also be performed easily and just as effectively with your practitioner in a separate location.
It’s important to know, too, that the term “‘distant’ reiki treatment” is actually a misnomer:
Energy knows neither time nor space.
So absentee sessions can be equally as effective.
My reiki sessions have always been offered at about 80% absentee, with 20% in-person. So I’m well-versed in running absentee sessions, which are typically done via video call, but can also be done by phone or while you sleep. :}

Common Targets for Reiki Therapy:

What’s the Difference Between Reiki Session Lengths?
With reiki therapy, the treatment time doesn’t always matter.
Even still, a ReikiIntensive session is strongly encouraged if it’s your first time and you know you need significant support. (Why?)
Full-length ReikiIntensive (90m) or ReikiComplete (60m) sessions are recommended in three cases. For:
- very long-standing issues, or
- your initial treatment sessions (new clients), or
- a very stubborn challenge you’re trying to heal.
If you’ve had at least one ReikiIntensive already (or it’s just not within your means), the Reiki30 should be okay.
But it would always be a mistake to schedule 2 ReikiBoosts (20m ea.) instead of 1 Reiki30 (30m), assuming it offers double the treatment time at less cost.
It doesn’t, actually. :}
ReikiBoosts are best for maintenance, after you’ve already made some good progress with full (Complete or Intensive) sessions. Learn more in the audio below.

ReikiIntensive: 90min (For 1st timers OR complex needs.)
ReikiComplete: 60min (Full, regular-length session.)
Reiki30: 30min (Quick, but complete session.)
ReikiBoost: 20min (For busy or budget-conscious clients.)
How Often Should I Receive Reiki?
When seeking help with issues you’ve suffered for more than three weeks, we typically do four (4) daily sessions, then move to once weekly or monthly (depending on your unique case).
A Gentle Note:
This does not mean you won’t feel better until you’ve had numerous sessions.
Many who receive reiki experience relief from their very first session; this depends on your level of wellness and the work the energy must address. But the goal is long-term, and ideally permanent, healing.
Just as we wouldn’t expect, for example, physical therapy done only once — or once monthly — to have any lasting effect on our pain… we must be sure also to set realistic expectations for our energy healing. ♥
If four consecutive daily sessions aren’t practical for you for any reason, we’ll work together to find a solution that will allow for your healing. But this is typically the optimal way for the fastest, most efficient results.
